TRUE FOUNDATIONS - A MULTIPLICITY OF MINISTRY PART B

"For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins: Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity. And by reason hereof he ought, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins. And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron. So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee. As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec. Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing." (Heb 5:1-11)

Later we read...

"Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment." (Heb 6:1-2)

THESE SIX THINGS - SIX PRINCIPLES spoken of by the writer of Hebrews that we as leaders in the Body of Christ MUST RECOGNIZE. These six principles are (a) repentence from dead works, (b) faith toward God, (c) Doctrine's of Baptisms, (d) LAYING ON OF HANDS, (e) the resurrection of the dead, (f) eternal judgement. I AM GOING TO JUMP AHEAD TO THE FOURTH (d) THE LAYING ON OF HANDS!

There is a discussion going on currently on this site regarding Spritual Fathers. It would seem that the discussion is confirming, and then it took a turn towards something else. The men on this discussion are sincere and devoted men of God most assuredly. However, it was spun out of the directive that the Holy Ghost brought it forth. I believe that is right.

However, in the 6th chapter of Hebrews we find these six things, and among them is the fourth progression of foundations. I am jumping the gun in making the presentation and calling it part B, but I too find The Holy Ghost leading me or rather I am UNCTIONED TO FUNCTION!

The laying on of hands is the GOVERNMENT of GOD in ministry order. When the saints understand there is a dimensional order in God and that HIS PURPUSE for them goes far beyond initial salvation, then coming under authority of the government of God is not a strain, but a desire. Government is the vehicle for dispensing GOD'S AUTHORITY in the Church. The HAND is a type and shadow of the ministry of God. Ministry is not SELF-APPOINTED nor SELF-IMPOSED, BUT COMES THROUGH THE LAYING ON OF HANDS.

It takes a MINISTRY FATHER who must lay his hands on a MINISTRY SON, and not just any son,,,HIS! A ministry or spiritual father in the Gospel must lay his hand on his spiritual son in the Gospel, for this is the SANCTIONING OF THE SON'S MINISTRY! If the son is to be in order, then we must follow the pattern set by God.

By the way, it is not a single man or woman or pastor that leads the local church, just like it is not a single man or woman that leads the BODY OF BELIEVERS - Unless you are talking about the MAN-JESUS! It takes a MULTIPLICITY OF MINISTRY that is the order of OUR DAY IN CHRIST! This multiplicity of ministry is the order of God for the CHURCH, and is an important vehicle if ministerial impartation is to take place. A CHURCH FOUND IN PROPER MINISTRY ORDER IS FOUNDATIONAL!

Therefore, consider the above Scripture text, and let's MOVE ON TO PERFECTION!

MINISTRY SONS IS A REQUIREMENT FOR MULTIPLICITY OF MINISTRY!

If we do not raise up sons in the Gospel, the principles of the multiplicity of ministry will be lacking. THose forming the multiplicity of ministry in a local church MUST HAVE more than a denominational connection with each other, or an internet platform to achieve what they deem is their own personal and unique goals in ministry. IF MULTIPLICITY OF MINISTRY is a many-faceted ministry, then the many facets MUST derive their connection through RELATIONSHIP and not just position. In fact, proper ministry MUST BE the outgrowth of TRUE RELATIONSHIP.

THERE MUST BE BIRTHED IN US THE WILLINGNESS TO TEACH AND IMPART FROM THE SPIRIT OF GOD INTO THE LIVES OF PROSPECTIVE ELDERS. An eldership with different visions gathered from various places probably will not unite under a single vision and function properly because it is usually not birthed in relationship but in gifting or in need. A common vision is essential in not only furthering the work but also in FATHERING THE MINISTRY and become GENERATIONAL in establishing UNITY OF THE BODY!

As a direct result of the very opposite to this plan of God, this principle of FATHER SON RELATIONSHIP, it would seem that competition arises. This result of competition with and within our churches is a direct result of the lacking of this father/son principle in the local congregation and even the coporate body. Sometimes people with talent are invited to join the ministry of another church - even if they lack the vision of that ministry. THIS IS DONE BECAUSE OF LUST FOR KINGDOM PREEMINENCE AND LACK OF KINGDOM CONSCIOUSNESS. The leadership is not so much concerned for the ministry to the saints as much as they jealously desire to compete with all other churches or ministries WHO ARE ON THE CUTTING EDGE! This type of activity results in DISUNITY and creates a sibling rivalry SPIRITUALLY AMONG GOD'S CHILDREN, and finally discourse in the house that God is building for His glory and Kingdom mission. It wars against relationship, and at best it can only bring forth a forced unity in the church, and when force is used, then force is what will tear it apart.

A minister can have a large church, a financially prosperous ministry, and even a work that is noteworthy throughout the network of television platform without ever following the pattern of a multiplicity of ministry, and ignoring the father/son principle. Even if these aspirations become the goal or vision of a ministry or local church body, they can also be achieved without the establishment of a biblical government. If you desire to find and complete the vision of what God has given you to do, and establish the work you are set and pre-set to accomplish for the Kingdom of God, then a church must and a ministry has to enable the principle of a multiplicity of ministry, and conducted through the principle of spiritual fathers and spiritual sons.

The local church should be a place where prospective ministries can be fathered and the vision of the house imparted to them, so that they can walk in harmony with the local ministry and impact and make a difference in their respective community. Every church should be a Bible School! When people are trained by another ministry, they receive another vision. A person who can be put in a place of trust and love is one whose heart is molded together with the leadership, as was ELISHA AND ELIJAH. Elisha was tested, but he left everything to follow ELIJAH (See 2 Kings 2). AND WHEN ELIJAH WAS TAKEN UP...ELISHA PROCLAIMED "MY FATHER, MY FATHER!"

In the passage of Scripture that opened this discussion up says that Jesus was a SON AFTER the order of Melchisedec. We are spending too much time playing with our food! GET WITH IT LEADERS OF THE BODY OF CHRIST! You need not be laying foundations again and again as your only foundations that you are to be doing...MOVE ON!

"But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak. For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister." (Heb 6:9-10)

The six principles set forth in Hebrews is what we build UPON, not we continually work at! If you have built the foundation, then at some point the roof has to be put on, so the elements do not hit your head! Then you can build the walls, put in a light socket or two, bet a central heat and air unit, and then start decorating. OH and then when the wife is in the house, she will constantly change it to bring LIFE INTO IT! LET'S MOVE ON PEOPLE OF GOD, LET'S MOVE ON TO PERFECTION INTO HIM WHO IS EVEN CHRIST.

I will come back and complete the PART C
