The Four Faces March 23, 2009

Ezekiel told us about the four faces, God had been showing me the faces of the four! First I saw three Eagles flying through flames of firer, and then as I sat in the family room in my home; I saw the face of a man, and two days later I saw the oxen, and after God gave me the interpretation on the wheel, I saw the Lion? ”As for the likeness of their faces, they had the face of a man; and they four had the face of a lion on the right side; and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four had also the face of an eagle.” (Ezekiel 1:10)

The Eagle: A sky emblem symbolizing spiritual and divine omniscience and victory. Also, a prophetic bird accepted by the Old Testament as a symbol of Yahweh’s prophet’s. Ezekiel 17:3-5 represents the symbolic of great and powerful Kings. In Isaiah 40:31they are equated with spiritual quickening and earthly renovation. Eagles are extraordinary nurtures that meticulously develop their young. These are two other characteristics one finds in genuine prophets. They are pictured in Ezekiel 1:10 as eternal creatures and Job 39:27 presents them as particularly responsive to the voice of Creator God. The eagle is also symbolic of a messenger; it is also applied today to His Prophets. Aquila is the Greek word for eagle. Psalm 103:5. Man: Prophetically a seed, source, and progenitor. Oxen: Symbol of labor, servant-hood.

The Lion: A biblical symbol of ruler-ship according to the Old Testament; in particular, a King. Representative of the Lord Jesus Christ as the Lion of the tribe of Judah; also ministerial reperesentive of the apostle. It also typified royal authority with all its most positive and potent attributes. Lions were thought of equally as destroyers and saviors. Lastly, they were believed to be destroyers of evil and champions of light and life. “And one of the elders said unto me, Weep not; behold, the Lion that is of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath overcome to open the book and the seven seals thereof. (Revelation 5:5). “Be sober, be watchful: your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walked about, seeking whom he may devour (1Peter 5:8). “And even he that is valiant, whose heart is as the heart of a lion, will utterly melt; for all Israel know that thy father is a mighty man, and they that are with him are valiant men. (2 Samuel 17:10).

The Fire: the symbol of presence, burning judgment of God, purifying, testing and the Holiness of God. “For our God is a consuming fire.”(Heb 12:29) “Then Jehovah rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from Jehovah out of heaven; and he overthrew those cities, and all the Plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground. (Genesis 19:24-25). “And the angel of Jehovah appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. (Exodus 3:2.) “I beheld till thrones were placed, and one that was ancient of days did sit: his raiment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool; his throne was fiery flames, and the wheels thereof burning fire. (Daniel 7:9). “For, behold, Jehovah will come with fire, and his chariots shall be like the whirlwind; to render his anger with fierceness, and his rebuke with flames of fire. (Isaiah 66:15)

And again he sent the captain of a third fifty with his fifty. And the third captain of fifty went up, and came and fell on his knees before Elijah, and besought him, and said unto him, O man of God, I pray thee, let my life, and the life of these fifty thy servants, be precious in thy sight. Behold, there came fire down from heaven, and consumed the two former captains of fifty with their fifties; but now let my life be precious in thy sight. (2 King 1:10-14). and to you that are afflicted rest with us, at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with the angels of his power in flaming fire, rendering vengeance to them that know not God, and to them that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus:( 2Th 1:7 -18).

Fire is an important element in the sphere of the prophetic. As far as prophetic language goes, it is a regularly employed symbolism that depicts the emotion of God. This is the word of the Lord.

The War Is Not Over!

Saturday February 21, 2009

The war is not over until the last troop is on America soil. This morning my son left for his six combat duty, but I know that God has gone with him and our troops. As we had our family prayer for our son and the other troops, it was the hardest prayer I had to pray for the last twenty years. By the grace of God we were so bless to have been able to spend the last six weeks with him as he did his training for this tour of duty. This morning when I saw all of the families gather to see their love ones leave, my heart was even more filled with tears!

This tour of duty will not be like the other tours of duty; I could just fill it in my Spirit! Pray for their families, because the young mother’s that have the small children it will be the hardest for them, with their husbands and fathers gone. I have taken pictures as they said their good buys, and I am sharing them with you, so you can see their faces as you pray for them! Stand in agreement with us as we ask God’s wisdom, knowledge, understanding and revelation for our troops. Please pray their safe return and ask God to keep them wile they are away from their families.
